Use of FMP coating systems is especially of current importance for protection of extra responsibility objects, to which metalworks and equipment of oil-and-gas complex enterprises concern.
The cooperation experience of FMP with oil-and-gas industry is more than 20 years.
For the present moment more than 2 million square meters of surfaces of technological metalworks and oil-and-gas complex tanks are protected from corrosion by FMP coatings.

Materials description
Metalworks, reservoirs and oil-and-gas field equipment are maintained in complex conditions causing high steel corrosion. They are subject to operating environment influence with high corrosion activity, weather precipitation, solar radiation, temperature differences. At the same time the technical condition of these complex constructions is of strategic importance for economy and safety of the country.
Therefore the choice of a reliable way of anticorrosion protection of oil-and-gas field constructions and objects is one of the major problems during their construction and repair.
It is conventional, that the most reliable and accessible way of anticorrosion protection of metal is application of coating systems based on zinc-rich primers. FMP coating systems are successfully applied when constructing new objects as well as repairing exploited ones, providing long-term, more than 10 - 15 years, anticorrosion protection. They consist of 2 or 3 layers of coating materials with different protection mechanisms, each of which carries out its function (see the fig.)

The first layer is zinc-rich primers with high content of zinc powder, realizing cathode steel protection, in much the same as traditional galvanizing, therefore their application has been named of “cold” galvanizing technology.
The next layers of system - intermediate and covering, operate on the barrier mechanism, preventing penetration of corrosive environments to the primer and metal. Enamels POLITON-UR series, compositions FERROTAN, ALUMOTAN and others are applied for them. High barrier properties of these materials are provided owing to use of effective anticorrosive components - polyurethane resins and pigments of the flaky structure.
Coating materials function also as decorative. Enamels series POLITON are coloured any kind of the color variety represented in catalogue RAL. The enamel POLITON-UR (UF) is ultra-violet radiation resistant, perfectly retaining coating color at application.
Polyurethane materials ZINOTAN, FERROTAN, ALUMOTAN and POLITON-UR, cured by air moisture, have perfectly proved at anticorrosion protection of reservoir and equipments metalworks. Penetrating polyurethane primer FERROTAN-PRO is applied when surface abrasive blasting is impossible.
Materials of FMP production are technological, plain and easy-to-use. They are applied by means of any standard coating method in a workshop and at a construction site. Materials are applied in a wide range of the Russian climatic conditions, at negative temperatures and high humidity.

Objects, on which application of FMP anticorrosion protection coatings is recommended:
- metalworks of gantries, galleries, rests of oil-and-gas pipe lines;
- external surfaces of overground pipelines;
- submersible oil field equipment;
- exhaust and smoke paths and pipes;
- reservoirs for storage of oil, dark and light petrochemicals;
- technological and fire reservoirs and containers;
- bridges, radio relay and cellular communications towers and other objects of infrastructure.
