Fine Metal Powders Research, Development & Manufacturing enterprise is one of Russia's few innovative business institutions which, being founded in the early years of Russian economic reforms, succeeded in surviving through the period of economic instability. The company managed to create a market for its own products and achieved a leading position in it.

Fine Metal Powders Company (FMP) was set up in 1991 by a group of scientists from the Ural branch of the Russian Academy of Science with the purpose to give life to most promising developments. As a result of many years’ theoretical and technological research, a unique technique for producing fine and ultra fine powders of non-ferrous metals and alloys was developed and commercialized. Development and production of new up-to-date products for protection and preservation of metal structures, machinery and mechanisms make the core of the company’s activity. Controlled manufacturing processes and unique proprietary equipment ensure production of metal powders with a targeted particle size within the micron and sub micron ranges. A simple readjustment of the main equipment makes the process adaptable to various starting metals - zinc, lead, cadmium etc.

Currently, the company owns up-to-date production facilities for producing metal powders, protective coatings and paints, maintenance and preservation agents for engines, equipment, friction joints etc. The company staff includes highly skilled researchers, engineers and workers. FMP is committed to its Quality Management System, which was certified according to ISO-9001: 2000 Standard.

Modern warehouse facilities and special packaging equipment ensure fast and safe delivery of product to any customer location. Hundreds of enterprises in Russia, CIS countries, in Asia and Europe use FMP products.
Bridges, road railings, tanks, pipe works, power transmission lines, building metal structures in Russia, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Turkey, North Africa were protected against corrosion within the last decade using FMP coatings and systems.
