ZINMASTIC PUTTY
|
ZINMASTIC putty ready for application represents glutinous
or paste-like mixtures of zinc powder, filler and binder.
ZINMASTIC putty is designed to fill burrs and correct the defects
of the painted steel surface: to seal weld seams while installing
new metal structures and carrying out maintenance.
Two types of putties are produced. ZINMASTIC 001 is two-package, to
fill considerate defects (with the depth of over 2 mm). ZINMASTIC
003 is one-package to seal joints and smooth insignificant defects.
Putties are used in the anticorrosion coating systems on the base
of zinc-rich ZFES composition and
other paint-&-varnish materials for metal structures used in weather
conditions of all macro-climate regions , types and categories of
placement; sea and fresh water, petroleum and petroleum products.
ZINMASTIC putties increase anticorrosion protective properties of
the coating system due to the presence of zinc powder.
Putties are applied at the plant or in the field at the temperature
from -15°С up to + 40°С and relative humidity not more than 85%.
Before applying the putties it is necessary to degrease steel surface
and remove oxides to grade Sa 2,5 according to ISO 8501-1:1988.
While carrying out maintenance cleaning with metal brushes is allowed.
Preparation of the putties for application includes:
mixing the components (ZINMASTIC 001)
stirring the putty till sediments on the bottom of the container
disappear (ZINMASTIC 003)
Application methods: putty knife, injector.
