FMP protection systems
for atmospheric metal structures
The aboveground metal structures are exposed to the attack of numerous
atmospheric factors leading to destructive corrosion, like rainfall, temperature
alterations, sun radiation, winds etc. Application of anti-corrosive paints
is the most accessible and effective method of ensuring long-term service
of large metal structures. The protective paints must display following
properties:
- High adhesion to the metal surface
- Sufficial impact strength
- Drying at the ambient air temperature
- Normal performance at the temperatures in the range of -60 °C to +60
°C and the relative humidity up to 100%
- Resistance to the atmospheric hazardous factors
- Allowing repair in field conditions.
FMP protective systems consisting of an anti-corrosive primer and a top
paint (enamel) are in use for metal structures exposed to the open air.
The FMP zinc-rich compositions ZVES®, ZINOL®, ZINEP®, ZINOTHANE® AND ZINOTHERM®
meet all re-quirements as protective primers.
