One-package protective-decorative composition based on high molecular thermoplastic polymer and aluminum powder.

Destination and fields of applications
Anticorrosion protection of steel articles and constructions, used in all atmospheric environments according to ISO 12944-5:2007. The coating is waterproof, allowed in using in fresh drinking water supply. It is not used in petrol and some organic solvents.
The composition is used as
- a top coat (1-2 layers) upon zinc-rich coatings ZINOL and ZINOL SV;
- an independent decorative coating (2-3 layers).
Certification, testing
The sanitary-and-epidemiologic finding for the composition ALPOL ¹ 66.01.15.231.Ï.001194.06.02 dated 27.06.2002, for using the composition ZINOL and the composition ALPOL with the object of anticorrosion protection of the equipment in the system of fresh drinking water supply - ¹ 66.01.15.231.Ï.000637.06.05 dated 21.06.2005.
Recommendations are given by the trust «Gidromontazh», «Gosstroy», certification is given by Interdepartmental committee of Federal Network Company of UniformEelectrical Supply Network.
Findings are given by Central Research and Project Institute of Building Constructions, State Unitary Enterprise – Research Center for Testing and Refining Automotive Vehicles, Public Corporation Research Institute for Transport construction, All-Russian Research Institute for Rail Transportation.

Reccomended condition of the painted surface
The undercoat should be cleaned of dust and dirt, degreased with water based detergents (solvents are not applied) and dried up.
When using the composition ALPOL as an independent decorative coating, the following is necessary to carry out:
- Oils, lubricants and other adipose matters as well as moisture and dust are to be removed from the metal surface;
- Thoroughly remove mill scale, rust and old paints traces by means of abrasive blasting method to Sa 2,5 rate (S 2 is allowed) according to ISO 8501-1. Mechanical cleaning to St 2 rate (St 3 is allowed) is permitted, according to ISO 8501-1;
- Remove dust.
Application method
- The composition is to be thoroughly shuffled up to homogeneous state before using;
- If necessary it is to be diluted by solvent to operating viscosity directly before using;
- While applying the composition is to be shuffled up from time to time;
- The composition can be applied in plant and field environment at temperature from -15 °Ñ to +40 °Ñ and relative air humidity till 90 %;
- The composition is applied on the undercoat ZINOL or ZINOL SV after it is dried up after the lapse of 2 hours.
When applying multiple coatings, every next layer is to be applied after drying up of the previous one to «tackiness» (when after light finger pressing of the coating, there are no print and sense of adhesiveness on the coating).
Drying up of the coating is natural. The complete cure time of the coating before using in immersion is not less than 7 days, before packing and transportation – 24 hours.

Packaging and storage
The composition ALPOL is packed in 0.9 kilogram metal cans and 18 kilograms, 10 kilograms, 3 kilograms metal piles.
Storage conditions: the composition is to be stored in an enclosed warehouse at environment temperature from -40˚C till +40˚C. The container with the composition isn’t to be subjected to precipitation and direct sun rays effect.
When stored in the conditions of minus temperatures, it is necessary to store the composition in a warm house during 24 hours.
Warranty period of the composition in the manufacturer’s hermetically covered container is 12 months from the composition due date.
